How to make symbols???
Mood:  rushed
Topic: HTML Questions
Do someone now where to get the HTML codes to some symbols, with symbols I mean symbol you can copy and paste from i.e. Word.
Because sometimes the symbols turn themselves into iI, iY. I know some codes like √ which is the symbol for the square root.

Name: cw

try this ascii character code chart
http://www.ascii.cl/htmlcodes.htm
and also this page with some more info about extended ascii sets
http://www.jimprice.com/jim-asc.htm

If you need to copy and paste text make sure it's plain or ascii text. Notepad writes plain unformatted ascii text and is the better choice for web text than Word.

You might try pasting your Word text into Notepad then copying that for pasting into an html page. Since I'm a Mac user I can't say for sure if that will work for you to keep your Word characters intact but think it should. You can also create your own set of frequently used characters in notepad to use as a cheat sheet for future use.
