Banner ads to popups

Someone below asked how to change from banner ads to popups now. I would like to know the same thing. I wrote to angelfire about it just now, but I have zero confidence that they will reply (with the actual answer to my question) since I had to choose one of four sub-topics, none of which had anything whatsoever to do with the question I asked.

So: How do you change back to popups only? I would like to go to a frames-based site and don't want a banner on each frame.

I was not informed on any changes AND WOULD LIKE TO ATLEAST GET ALL MY FILES BACK IF YOU ARE shuting everyone down.

I mostly use my anglefire accout for webspace for Avatars and signatures. latly they have not been appearing. does anglefire not like people useing their accouts just to post pictues?

i havnt used angelfire in years and i have some new picutes i would like to add to my site. i cant find how to get into my html but when i click on index.html and only that and hit open it "reads You must have a single directory selected when you click open directory." there is no edit tab under directories only under files but the options it gives me for directories is open rename and delete
i hope this is enough information for some help once again

Could someone PLEASE tell me why the pictures i have saved on my angelfire account do not show up on my other blog site? Where can i find news or information about this? My other blog is on Livejournal and i NEED angelfire so i can have a place to store my pics for the web. Any info would be much appreciated ^_^

A single page on my site crashes my browser

I had recently added some new pictures to my site, on several diffrent pages. Everything was fine until today when the same page has repeadedly crashed my browser.

I tried removing the picture I added, I even removed a photo I added yesterday. The page itself only lists as 4k and the file sizes for the photos are small.

Is this a problem with HTML or is Angelfire running new ads that are crashing my browser? It only happens on one page, and I don't want anybody except someone from Angelfire to link to it as I think it will crash most other browsers as well. I'm hoping for some help on this as my traffic will drop sharply over it.

I'm trying to fix the problem myself, but with no soccess. Oh, I get an 'this program has committed an illlegal action' error message before every crash.

I've tried the site with two diffrent ISPs too, and they both crashed.

I don't know what I'm doing wrong, but I uploaded a picture onto angelfire, and linked it correctly on my site, but for some reason instead of that picture, I get a picture saying "this image is hosted by angelfire.com". how do i fix this?

So I've had this image (a non-offensive avatar for my message boards) for quite a long time now, and all of a sudden that Angelfire image is being displayed instead. Anybody know what's going on here?

Angelfire Upgrade

Yesterday, Angelfire completed a long-awaited and major backend upgrade. (Tripod users may recall a similar upgrade made there about a month ago.) This upgrade does not have many user-visible changes, but it does include many, many bugfixes that have been queueing up over time.

1. Numerous blogs fixes, including two new beach-themed templates.
2. Webshell & advanced editor updates.
3. Several major bugs in the remote loading block for free accounts have been fixed.
4. Better linking with Lycos Domains.
5. WebStats fixes (premium only)
6. Other stuff that I'm forgetting.

WebStats reports for today will be slightly delayed because of the upgrade, but they should all be available today.

If you see any odd problems on the site today, respond in this thread and I'll make sure they get looked at. I've raised the ads and frontpage concerns already; the remote loading block stuff is as-designed however.

Pornographic popups on my Angelfire pages!!!

I haven't been to my pages for a couple weeks. But I went to my homepage today, and was bombarded by about 5-6 popup, graphically-obscene ads for some sort of porn! They were huge popups too.

My site is supposed to be OK for kids, as it's about my Morrowind mods.

The ads didn't turn up again when I clicked on other pages on my site. But that bombardment of ads was horrible!

And the only other webpages I've been on today was the Elder Scrolls message board and my Zy webpages, neither of which have any sort of ads.

So this is strictly an Angelfire problem.

Frontpage
I'm trying to use Frontpage and my search page and feedback page do not work because the server extension file is missing. The file is _derived/nortbots.htm. Have you run into this problem using Frontpage? The support person said that Angelfire does not have this file among the server extensions for Frontpage. What is your experience?

Hosting images on angelfire

I've been using my angelfire acount to host pictures to be viewed on message boards aswell as my site. I resently came up with the probem that where all my pictures were on fourms they had been replaced by "image hosted by angelfire" picture.
My first thought was that my site had gone over its bandwidth limit perhaps but nope. I also checked to see if the adresses were wrong but they aswell were just fine. A friend of mine just resently got this problem too.
I've been using angelfire for a good while without having this problem before.

How can I fix this?

Most people don't know that back in 1912, Hellmann's mayonnaise was manufactured in England. In fact, the Titanic was carrying 12,000 jars of the condiment scheduled for delivery in Vera Cruz, Mexico, which was to be the next port of call for the great ship after its stop in New York.

This would have been the largest single shipment of mayonnaise ever delivered to Mexico. But as we know, the great ship did not make it to New York. The ship hit an iceberg and sank, and the cargo was forever lost.

The people of Mexico, who were crazy about mayonnaise, and were eagerly awaiting its delivery, were disconsolate at the loss. Their anguish was so great, that they declared a National Day of Mourning, which they still observe to this day.

The National Day of Mourning occurs each year on May 5th and is known, of course, as Sinko de Mayo.

The first complaint about stack over flow in angelfire here, it only appears using IE, also I notice the ads are on the top of each other at the top, I am not sure if it is angelfire or the member doing, there lots of scripts.
