Pornographic popups on my Angelfire pages!!!
Mood:  irritated
I haven't been to my pages for a couple weeks. But I went to my homepage today, and was bombarded by about 5-6 popup, graphically-obscene ads for some sort of porn! They were huge popups too.

My site is supposed to be OK for kids, as it's about my Morrowind mods.

The ads didn't turn up again when I clicked on other pages on my site. But that bombardment of ads was horrible!

And the only other webpages I've been on today was the Elder Scrolls message board and my Zy webpages, neither of which have any sort of ads.

So this is strictly an Angelfire problem.

I didn't keep the ads up long enough to see where they went to, but it seemed to be a group that popped up quickly one after another. Many were almost full-page size. And the pics were very, very graphic. As my son was playing right around the corner, I didn't want to leave them up long enough to get more info on where they came from.

I'm suspecting that it's something sneaky that some porn site sent to a net ad company, where a bunch of ads pop up instead of one. I've never seen a barrage of ads pop up like that here at Angelfire. They loaded very fast, and the popups here tend to load slow. And as I said, I hadn't been to any other sites with ads today.

Is there a way I can choose to have banner ads only on my free site? I don't mind if there's 3 or 4 on the page. I'm just so nervous about this popup obscenity.

Until this is fixed, I've had to disable all links to my Angelfire pages. I can't take the chance of a 10-year-old seeing that filth...

So no-one's concerned about these ads on Angelfire pages? Unless something's done to investigate why porn ads were accpted and run on Angelfire, I'll start doing some official reporting and also go to every webspace provider review site and forum I can find on the net and report this.
