Angelfire loading issues on FireFox
Topic: HTML Questions

Greetings,

I have begun to notice some layout issues with the new Angelfire and Firefox 2.0.0.14 for Linux.

The layout appears to be broken and spread out.  Tried Konqurer with the same results.

I have screenshots of the Angelfire homepage using FF:

It also affected one of my sites, which I also have a copy of it on Tripod, and it works fine on there.

The site on Tripod:

What it looks like on Angelfire:

Id this just a browser issue, or is there something else going on??

(This flavor of Linux wont really let me update FF to its latest.)

Now Angelfire looks ok on Google Chrome, but the TNSC site above is still broken only on Angelfire, it worked perfectly on AF before the change, and has only been broken today - I have not made any changes to the source on my end.  The source is also cited properly as XHTML 1.0.

Ok, so the oddities with the Angelfire main site with this version of Linux and FF is most likely explained by the fact that Angelfire is now coded in HTML5, which is more than likely not fully supported on this browser.  This oddity I can still work with and hope I can find a decent updated browsers for HTML5.

However, it does not explain the oddity within TNSC, as per the screenshots above.
When I click preview from within the File Manager, the site doesn't have Angelfire's ads, and shows up perfectly.  However, add the AF ads, and the menu gets broken - as per that second screenshot.
This remains true with "Standards Compliant" browsers like this FF version and even the latest Google Chrome running on Windows XP - However, if you load the same pages inside Internet Explorer, they work fine.  I have coded them to be as Standards Compliant as possible, and the site works fine from Tripod with FF and Chrome, so this seems to be only an issue wth AF and the ads from AF.

I found a fix to this issue on our site.

There is an unnecessary Div Class added to each menu option, removingit fixes the menu to work fine on all standards clompliant browsers.
