Why are my links no longer appearing
Mood:  irritated
Topic: HTML Questions
Recently, I have been trying to add some new links to my pages, but after I save the page, and then view it, in either firefox or explorer, all it has is the text, not the link. This is a very recent problem.

A recent example is http://vids.myspace.com

I have the following in my webshell:

<a herf="http://vids.myspace.com" target="_blank"> myspace vids</a><BR>

 myspace vids is the only thing that actually shows up. Why is this?

<a href="http://www.veoh.com" target="_blank">
veoh</a><BR>

which is something from a while back, works ok. Why the sudden change?

You haven't fixed your index page. It still redirects to a sex site because of the meta refresh code you added. Fix it or be prepared to lose the site.

nope. aint gona happen. some years back, it used to be ok to have a page on angelfire, and link to a file (say a gif) you had on geocities, or any of the other web hosts. now, you get a 'this file is hosted on this page, so you can't access it.' i thought the web sites were getting crazy again, and now not allowing us to create any other external links. im actually relieved it turns out i just mixed up my letters, and mixed on my copy-pastes. thankx for helping me find my mistake! (:

NEVER, EVER threaten anyone! i dont know WTF you're talking about.

click https://www.angelfire.com/fl/GFD/, it goes to https://www.angelfire.com/fl/GFD/main.html

you obviously aren't familiar with url redirection web sites. http://www.thefreesite.com/Webmaster_Freebies/Free_URL_redirection_services/

obviously, 4ever.cc has gone out of business. i've had this site for over 10 years, as should be obvious from my cross host message above.

fl/GFD,

cw wasn't threaten, cw was telling you what would happen if the meta tags 4ever.cc staye on your site. we don't work for angelfire. there is a big differance between link to a site on a page and refresh the whole index.html to another outside server.

put this code insdie the head tag of the index.html page

<META HTTP-EQUIV="REFRESH" CONTENT="1;URL=main.html">

Thank you for coming to my defense anonymous (dalleh:).

fl/GFD looks like you finally fixed the redirect to the adult site. Where ever did you get the idea I was threatening you? Adult content is not and has never been allowed on AF sites. A redirect like the one you had was likely to get you booted.
