Angelfire Backend Update
The Angelfire Team today made some major backend updates to pretty much every part of Angelfire: FTP, Webshell, etc. None of these changes are user-visible, but they are in anticipation of turning on higher quotas for premium users (probably) next week.

If anyone sees any odd issues on the site, please respond in this thread and we'll investigate.

"None of these changes are user-visible..." ?

I have noticed that *all* the Webshells of my various Angelfire sites seem to have gone into a basic looking "safe-mode" display, yet the real problem is when I saved a page yesterday (right after this new webshell appeared), the page saved is now completely blank when viewed in a browser, as you can see here... https://www.angelfire.com/alt2/trimarketing/news.html

As of this writing, the page is still completely blank, yet this will all return to normal by next week?

it is not blank, anyway always have a backup to your site anything can happen

we are talking about this site https://www.angelfire.com/tn2/welcome/ right? if yes reload your browser.

if you are talking about just the background color and you are using the basic editor login edit the file you need to change look at the top there bunch of arrowse to change the colors and save.

if you are using the advance editor look at the top in the body tag for bgcolor="#000000" just type the name of the color like this bgcolor="blue" or bgcolor="black" the name of any color will work.

the same goes to the links and text
text="#00ff00" link="#ff0000" alink="#ffff00" vlink="#ffff00"

angelfire cannot do it for you

I just made a 'redirect-URL' command line in the HTML, so now the page automatically skips to another part of the site. I still don't know why it wasn't displaying originally. Problem solved now though, thanks.

Since this time, I wasn't able to connect and login using FTP. The web site is accessible and looks fine but I can't use FTP :-(

It gives me a "501 Please verify your Password" but I haven't changed my password and I can login though my Angelfire account using the same username and password.

The FTP issues should now be resolved. However, make sure that your membername is not preceeded by a /

This is a slight change. The earlier issue was related to users who were using Capitals in their passwords and that was not working properly. As I mentioned, this issue has been resolved.
