Since powerpoint is not a web format it needs to be converted for web use or an appropriate plugin provided for those visitors who do not have a ppt apllication installed on their pc. It is better to convert to a web friendly format (html) since many visitors will not download plugins just to view your pages. The link above is a tutorial I found through google. There are many others like it if you look.

When creating your web files be especially careful about file size. They should be kept small for fast downloading.
