HTML confusion
Mood:  not sure
Topic: HTML Questions
Why, if the scrolling text box works in the preview, does it not work on my actual site. Also, when a script calls for placing such and such in the HEAD/BODY section.....what does that mean exactly. I can find nothing in the help relating to either of these problems....which ofcourse are only problems because im a laymen.

If your using the basic AF editor you will not be able to add the script that goes in the <head> section of the page.

that is why your script is not scrolling. all your seeing on the live page is the form field. and your head script won't initialize the scroll like it should....because it's 'not' in the head as reguired....

You would have to use the advance editor(convert) but the warning is!! once you convert then you will have to stay with the advance editor and you will not be able to use the basic editor again and see the changes. If you go back to basic editor after making changes with the advance mode the changes you made with advance editor won't be seen and won't work....

so you see, unless you know html you will not want to convert to advanced edtitor!...ok?

find a scroll script that 'does not include' script that has to be in the <head> section of your page.

You will have to look for a text scroll script that only works in the text box area of your page(meaning the body of your page) OK?

hth...
