The text description is supposed to be the link. You won't see the URL on your page unless you enter it as the text description.
Your links don't work on your index page because you still need to fix your link code the way dalleh told you in a previous post. The link to that post is above.
Please leave the URL of the page you're having trouble with if you don't mean your index page. It's very hard to troubleshoot a problem without seeing the html code.
