TOTALLY INADEQUATE RESPONSES from HELP
Mood:  sad
Is there a way around ROBOT replies? I have an old blog I thought hadn't gone up; to my horror I find it's there, unformatted. All attempts to access it and kill it are answered with the same inadequate robot replies. Can't even get to it when I sign into Angelfire (finally figured out my old name and password, thank God) because there is no search among the categories of blogs.

You could try this- log in with the username and password of the account that contains the blog. When you're logged in, your membername should appear in the upper left side panel of this help blog (You are logged in as .....) If the username is the right one, use the 'edit your blog' link in the same left side panel of this help blog. That should take you to the blog manager were you can unpublish, edit, or delete it.

hope that works!

falcon/botwnomadsbigevent-I don't think anyone went in and deleted your page unless you have more than one free account or if you haven't touched the site for many months. The content of free sites is sometimes deleted if inactive for a long time. That applies to free sites only and the intent is to free up space for those who will use it. I don't know if that applies to you or not. Just mentioning it as a possible explanation.

If for any reason the page was deleted, whether because of your own doing or something else, I don't think there's much that can be done to retrieve it. Delete is forever. You could try the Wayback Machine at webarchive.org to see if they have a cached copy that could be used to recreate the page if needed. I see 5 pages from your site listed there, the last from Oct. 2004

Backing up web files should always be a priority because you never know what can happen. That's easy to do with FTP and something you should consider if you build any more pages. If you need help with that, just ask.

hope that helps
