Distoted, Ghost Imagery on My Page. . .
My page xxlab.angelfire.com has now been displaying a distorted childish-looking copy of a small image I have since removed from teh top.

I cannot get this distorted ghost image to disappear and was wondering if anyone here knew some tricks to remove it.

Please, before all of our clientele thinks we are a business run by an 11year old from an iPhone!

When this happened to me Angelfire was just a few years old and I was told, " to you only established images on angelfire to stop this". I know it will probably baffle you but I have stuck to it. if you'd like to see my page its http://miamifundraising.angelfire.com

Hello Iriz:

I am not sure I understand:  "only established images to angelfire to stop this?"

Does that mean it has to be their images?  Default graphics, provided images you mean?

How can I go about removing this distorted image?

I removed the not distorted image but the two or three disTTTTTOOOOOOORRRRRRRRRTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTED copies remain :-(

Thanks

Thanks for your help though:  Your page looks just great.

Also, do you have a contact at Angelfire Customer Service?

Granted a lot has changed in the pastd 12+ years, but any contact info I'd appreciate.

Iriz:  Sorry, I made a second comment without putting in my name.  That was addressed at you. . .

"Frames":  I have a PayPal link on my site.  Are you talking about Angelfire pages?  Or something more specific?

Hi, just to follow up:  Does anyone have any idea how to rectify this situation, or who to contact at Angelfire?

xxlab,

If yours is a paid website, you can to go Help and "Fill Out a Ticket" and in a few days get an answer.

Otherwise, you have to use the distorted image as if it is supposed to be there, such as:

Do you feel like this at the end of the day?  Buy one of our products and you'll feel great!

I'm having more and more angelfire problems with my new website and their tutoring videos are all down on YouTube. I think something bad is going down at the company.

@Jet:  Thanks so much for getting back to me.

No we do not have a paid subscription, just your basic free, no frills website.

I am not talking about banner ads, if that is what you mean.  Although, funnily enough, they will sometimes basically drive potential customers to competitor businesses (as they're searching for our product, the banner will also key in on that content occasionally), we don't generally have a problem with this.

We had, in the past, a small (150x300ish pixel) image of the comapny logo.  It was dragged into the upper righthand corner of the site, yet for some reason it appeared, grotesquely enlarged in at least two other spots.

Finally, first I've noticed today, this image has disappeared (only after I had to take down and delete the photo from the spot where I wanted, and delete off the server entirely) but there is still a giant box with a question mark in the middle of the page, in a spot where I had inserted no code for an image.

It's better than an ugly image, but still looks very tacky.  Makes us look like our company is out of business or something.

Eventually I'd like to get the image back up, undistorted at the proper small size I'd put it up at, but for now I'll settle just to get the empty box with the question mark off the site. . .
