HIT COUNTER
Mood:  a-ok
Now Playing: I don't know what this means :-)
Topic: HTML Questions

I accidentally changed from basic editor to advanced and lost the counter.  How can I get a counter for the advanced editor?

Thanks.

I would suggest going to sitemeter.com or statcounter.com and signing up for one of their free stats counters. They will give you more info then the simple hit counter offered here. They are easy to install. After you sign up and configure the counter you're given simple cut and paste code for your web pages. If given the option, make sure to have the counters disregard your own visits.

There are other free third party counters out there if you  google search. Sitemeter is the one I use and am most familiar with.

I copied and pasted the html in the box but no counter appears....probably because there is no image in the cgi bin.  How do I get a counter image in the bin? Thanks

Thank you for your reply.   I really do not want to sign up for a counter from another site.  I want an AF counter if possible.

md/jdfaq    ..  I've been searching for info about the counter on AF's website and I think that an AF counter cannot be used on the "free" websites.  Something about the cgi.bin having to be enabled to use the script.  I never can find a place to send a message directly to AF .  If you know how to do that please email me.  There used to be a form we could use .   If there is still one, it is well hidden.  :-)   Thanks.

Ok, you have open tags at the bottom copy and this to replace what you have

<EMBED SRC="01__Dario_Mella___Lullaby_For_Max.ra" AUTOSTART=TRUE LOOP=TRUE WIDTH=145 HEIGHT=40></EMBED><BR>
<NOEMBED>
<BGSOUND SRC="01__Dario_Mella___Lullaby_For_Max.ra" LOOP=0></NOEMBED><BR>

because the counter and frames are working on this free site

md/jdfaq ...  THANK YOU ! It worked!  I found some other tags that were not closed and I think I fixed all of them.  I really appreciate your help.
