This may sound confusing lisa, but the "month" changes daily. The "month' being a period of the last 30 days with today the last day of a "month" that began 30 days ago. The "month" looked at today and for which you see page views generated is not the same 'month' as yesterday. You can see those numbers go up or down as your page views sustain a net loss or gain from day to day in comparison to the "month's" page views you saw yesterday or even a few days a go. it is easier to understand if viewed as a graph or flow chart with each days page views plotted on the graph.

I was just about to post on this subject!!! I found a really good counter that keeps track of all kinds of stats for you automatically and it's totally free. You can get it at www.statcounter.com There are no ads placed on your page, unless you want them to place one for their website. But if not, you just opt out. Go there and get a free account and check it out if you like.
