Oh My God!
Mood:  hungry
Topic: Image Questions
Ok, here's the deal, when i try to view my page from another computer it asks me for my username and password. How do I undo this stupidness. Also everytime i try to view a page it creates a file called .cnt. Like, say i try to view my index.html page, angelfire will automatically create a file called index.cnt. What is the deal?!?

The login box could be popping up due to one reason that I can come up with.

When you logged into your account, and began building your website, you didn't have an "images" directory. So what most likely happened, is that you took your "private" directory, or one of the Front Page extention folders (_vti-bin, etc), and renamed it to "images".

If that's what you did, that's the problem. What you'll need to do, is go into your "My Account" page, and disable your Front Page extentions.

Then use the "Create" section, located below your webshell, and create a subdirectory called "images". That should cure the problem.

If you didn't rename any of the existing folders to "images", please let me know exactly what you did do to the folders/files in your account, so that we can look into it a little bit closer.

Hope that fixes the problem,
Mike

it looks like it is your image directory that is privitized or protected??

I can view your pages but
none of your images folder graphics are viewable on your pages for me, even if I sign in using my angelfire name and password......

I tried to view your graphics and that is what happens, I get a log-in that pops up

if your images directory is privatized the graphic won't display on your page because you would need a log in to view them....

The index.cnt is your counter and it would have nothing to do with this....
