email changed - how do I update on my small hompage?
I have a small web page through angelfire and I just changed email addresses. I updated this information in my angelfire account, but I just checked my homepage and the email link still has my old email address. I can't see a way to change it on the web shell.....will eventually be updated automatically on my page or is there something else I shoud do. Thanks for any help.

Someone Know how to make certain images ''Copyright'' on my angelfire page ?

I dont know alot about page buiding but....a few days ago I was thinking of making some of my pic on my site ike ''Copyright'' like.....nobody can download them from the site (cannot click and save...)
If someone can tell me how to do that....I would be really happy :P

Angelfire Email Shutdown

"Angelfire Email" is being shut down next week. This was a very, very old cobrand of Lycos Mail (previously Mailcity) which has not allowed new signups in two years. Members that use the service have already been notified via email several weeks ago, but we felt that it was appropiate to post about it here just in case.
Users of Angelfire Email are encouraged to either signup for a Free Account at Lycos Mail (mail.lycos.com) or they can use Angelfire's own premium email services which are available in many of our for-pay packages. (Note that Angelfire doesn't currently offer an easy web interface for its mail offerings, you are expected to use MS Outlook, Netscape, Eudora, or a similar offline mail tool.)
As a bit a humorous (to me) side note, with this shutdown also goes the most misguided attempt at cobranding site URLs I'd ever seen. The old URL for the site used to be: email.angelfire.mailcity.lycos.com. Doesn't exactly roll off the tongue, does it? :)

Trying to learn about e-mailable forms

I tried using the Angelfire cgi script and I got part of it to work - I can e-mail a form, but only the first two fields work - name and e-mail. I used radio buttons and other form inserts that I put in using Dreamweaver MX. However, nothing below the first two fields is showing up when I get the e-mail. I was going to post the code I'm using but it tries to make a form on my post. I just recieved a question from Katie asking how to use a file as your web page Background.
There is only one way to accomplish this task.
If you are using Angelfire's basic editor, it doesn't give you the option of choosing an image, so what you have to do is use the advanced editor. When you are in the Advanced editor, scroll down. You should see a line that shows <body bgcolor="" text="">. Change the part bgcolor to background, and in the quotes after the = sign, put the url of the image(e.g. http://angelfire.com/user/name/file.jpg).

I can't seem to get the Domain address to work. my address is www.thescorpionlair.com and that just goes to an angelfire error page. There has been some progress, the first few days, it came up as a generic 404 error page. But I can't seem to get the domain name to work. any help appreciated. you can also email me @ scorpion85@hotmail.com.

Ok... Im having pretty much the same problem alot of people are having with the images, except... i dunno about other people, but it wont even let me copy the images back into my harddrive!! am i just doin sumthin wrong... or is there another way that i dun know about?
SAVING FILES
I hear that they are not allowing us to now post out pictures anywhere else other than on our site. If that is the case ill am going to move my site. Does anyone know a quick way to copy all the files in the account to your harddrive in a timely manner, rather than do each file seperate. Thanks in advance.

Hi! I have a problem that I think you can help me with. In the process of preparing to delete my account, I was trying to get all my images back onto my harddrive by viewing each image file, then right clicking the image and saving it. While attempting this, when the image saved, the file name is "webshell" and when I double checked the image on the harddrive, it always ended up being a saved html document of the webshell page! I have repeatedly tried to do this, thinking it was an error, but it keeps on reoccurring. Is this a bug or am I doing something wrong? My site is nearly deleted except for the index page and the images I still need to get so my website isn't working except for the homepage. Thanks for reading this and please respond soon!

The Angelfire ad problems have been found and fixed. Thanks for everyone that reported the problem (both here and through email) so that it could be traced and debugged.
If anyone still sees any irregularities or other problems with the way ads are serving on their pages, please respond in this thread.

Why isn't the banner ad problem being fixed? I've written to 'customer support' twice, and I'm sure many other people have done the same. Doesn't anyone from Angelfire ever take a look at this blog? This is no way to force people to upgrade to a pay site. If they do upgrade, it certainly won't be with Angelfire. And as for looking at the pages with Netscape instead of IE...that isn't a solution. The browser isn't the problem, the html coding of the ad is. I know that there's someone here who communicates with Angelfire. PLEASE PLEASE someone alert them and have them fix this problem!

I have the same problem... but the banner ad covers the submit button for the message board i have on my page. Very inconvenient... I hope it gets fixed soon.

Yes! tha banner add thing is going on way too long, i contacted them about this, but they need to know how many are effected.. so i had to search for this

Banner in middle of page

OK this banner in the middle of my page is
TOTALLY GETTING ON MY NERVES!!! I had some of my firends come to my site and they were saying how they couldn't read anything on it, so I went myself and BAM the huge banner is smack dab in the middle of a crapload of text. FIX IT NOW!!!
