Question about mozilla webpage creator
HI all. I'm brand new at web page creation, and used the Mozilla web page creation stuff 'cause I work on a macintosh. OSX.

In the set-up when it asks me which software I used, what do I choose? Microsoft doesn't sound right. Do I select DreamWeaver, or FTP? Or do I have to scrap all the work I've done and begin a whole new web page?

thanks in advance....

Angelfire and Netscape
Mood:  not sure
For the past month I haven't been able to go to angelfire.com using my Netscape browser that I normally used. When angelfire.com is just opening my browser closes and gives me an error. IE works fine for viewing but I use Netscape Composer for my site and suddenly it does not work anymore. I tried other PC's but always the same results. Any clues??

Angelfire Update
Topic: News
This is just a quick heads-up to club members. The Angelfire Team is in the process of completing some upgrades which aren't particularly noticable, but may affect some people.

1. The abuse-prevention software has been updated and now treats less-kindly free members who are using Angelfire solely for file storage without actually having a webpage. If you are using Angelfire in this manner, I recommend that you build a brief page and you should have no problems. Alternatively, Angelfire allows file storage for paying members.

2. In the next two weeks, Angelfire will begin scanning all member content for viruses, trojans, worms, and other assorted ilk. Files which have been contaminated will be deleted. If we believe that the infection is a deliberate attempt to spread the virus, the account will be removed and the user will be permanently banned.

3. In upcoming weeks, Angelfire will be upgrading its paid CGI support from Perl 5.8.0 to Perl 5.8.5. There are very few feature differences between these two releases, however some scripts which rely on bugs in the previous release may not work properly. If you experience any problems with CGI support, please check to make sure it isn't a compatibility problem.

And finally, in the next several days (today, if we can get to it), Angelfire will launch a new visitor's toolbar on all free member pages. This toolbar will take the place of the current search box above the ad . This toolbar will contain a new "sharing" feature (to email the page you are looking at to someone else), links to the site directory and a new "Top100" feature, and other changes. For an idea how this will look, you can see a similar toolbar on all free Tripod sites. (For example, http://cwnurses.tripod.com.)

If you experience any problems with any of these features (or just have general comments or suggestions), please let us know by responding in this thread.

I have joined a webring. yeah! anyway, on the pages that I wrote in html myself that are linked to from my blog, I have no problem including the webring thingie code.
is there a way for me to put this doohickey on my blog page? I have tried to look at the advanced editor, but don't know where I would put the code for the webring thingie.

Topics and subtopics
Hi, I just started rebuilding my portfolio site (www.josephengle.com) that is hosted by Angelfire.

I was wondering if Angelfire's blogs allow for subtopics of topics. I am just trying to do as little coding as possible.

Also, I know that cgi/perl is good to go, too bad I don't know it. So, is .jsp allowed?

aol blacklisting angelfire
I've just run into an interesting problem. I'm a tennis coach, so I put my team page URL into my signature. The last ten days or so, every email I've sent to aol accounts has been rejected (Mailer Daemon). I contacted Juno and they told me that the emails were rejected because of a blacklisted URL. Has anyone else had this problem? Why should they block a high school webpage, unless it's because it's an angelfire account?

Blog posting
When I test my blogs, I cannot post or edit my open blogs from the blogs themselves. I can only edit from within the webshell.
What might be going on?
This might be why no one has posted:(

Help with links, please!
Mood:  celebratory
Now Playing: I'm so new to this
Topic: FrontPage
I am very excited to create my own website. So far so good, except I can't put links on page 2,3,4 &5 to navigate to the other pages from them. You have to keep using the browser "back" button. I am using the basic set-up, and my page layouts vary. For example...a "list" page doesn't give me anywhere to put links to any of my other pages.
I need some help in simple english!
Thanks
Amy

Angelfire Update
Topic: News
This week, the Angelfire Team has made some updates to make Microsoft FrontPage usage more stable, especially if you created a new account in the past couple of weeks. If anyone that was having trouble with it before is still seeing problems, please respond here and we can try and work it out.

In the upcoming weeks, there are several major changes being planned for the site backend, though there should not be much that is user-visible. The primary goal is to improve site performance for builders, but we're also doing other stability work. (A second goal is making membernames simpler for new members, and eventually offering some sort of *membername*.angelfire.com access. Many details have yet to be worked out.)

If you see any issues or have any suggestions, please feel free to respond in this thread.

Today I got in the mail something about Renewing Domains
Mood:  a-ok
Now Playing: Oprah
Today I got in the mail an advertisement (I think) To renew my domain. I have never gotten an snail mail advert untill today. The letter comes from Domain Registry of America

It says as a courtesy to domain name holders, we're sending you this notification of the domain name registration that is due to expire in the next few months. When you switch today, to the Domain Registry of Amerca, you can take advantage of our best savings.

How do I get out of people sending this crap if it's not from Angelfire? Or if it is from Angelfire, when did they start sending it. Why do they give out my address if they haven't sent anything out?

Front Page 2002 Problems
Mood:  irritated
Topic: FrontPage
Does anyone here have problems uploading Front Page 2002 Webs? I have spent two hours trying to get this doggone thing to upload a web. The basic problem, I think, is trying to get the server extensions enabled. The first little part on Angelfire takes you to a page saying to open a Web folder in My Computer. I have no web folder in My computer. The only Web folder is one I have for the web, and I can double click it to death, and not receive the info Anglefire says in there? the instructions for this make no sense...Anyone with help or a suggestion on how to make this thing work is appreciated... Yes...I have contacted Angelfire, but no response in the last two hours...? PS: And yes, I have looked over all the FAQ, the help and on and on and on.... Thanks, Mac

Angelfire says to add their www. to the referers array. so i went on the formmail.cgi and added angelfires www.angelfire.lycos.com to my @ referers array on the form mail and am still getting bad referer.
