Blog Update
Topic: News
Two minor updates went out for blogs today. Both of these fixes apply primarily to "open communities" and won't really be that useful for individual user blogs. (The intention is to let all users atart their own open communities eventually, but we're ironing out the bugs first using the Clubs as the 'beta' sites for the new features.)

1. Comment moderation has been improved. If you post to a community blog (such as the club), you now have access to moderate all the comments in response to your post. Some other aspects of moderation have also been cleaned up.

2. Topic selection has been fixed. All members should now be able to correctly set the topic for new posts.

This release also introduces two 'Club Dread'-themed blog templates.

Why, why, why...
Mood:  irritated
When I edit my page, and then preview, all of my gifs, icons, etc. show up, but if I view the page itself, only a few show, the rest are replaced by those annoying red X boxes...

Help -- Can't set up web folder or ftp in network places
Mood:  quizzical
Tried many days to set up a web folder or ftp access to my Angelfire directory. I'm using Home XP. There is no icon for web folder in my network places.

Tried ftp.angelfire.com/.... , and it denies access saying " ..... 505 permission denied /...subdomain/subsubdomain... does not exist. (It prompted for id and password first and I gave it).

Note ftp access works ok for other domains hosted elsewhere.

HELP PLEASE.

Frame help
Mood:  sad
Now Playing: Frame help
I have recently added frames to my webpage (www.angelfire.com/comics/mutie/index.html). However, when I click on a link in the left frame it does not appear in the right frame, like I want. Instead it appears in the left frame. Can anyone tell me what I am doing wrong?

I do think that someone else may have had the same problem once or twice, but I cannot scan the boards to find out if this is true.

Is this a cache problem?
My computer always shows my angelfire page perfectly, but when I go to another computer, images are missing, etc. Obviously, I made mistakes in creating the page...but somehow, my computer is pulling images from
elsewhere other than angelfire so the page only appears correct from my computer.....I never had this problem before.....anyone know the answer to this puzzle? Bob

How can I put margins into the left and right hand sides of my webpages, so that the text doesn't run from edge to edge of the screen?

Trouble with Picking Alias
I was attempting to upgrade my free site to the Argon subscription. After picking my domain name, the next page asks me to pick an alias. No matter what I try, I get the message that another member has that name. I use one of the options the give me and the same message. I use create my own and again the same message. I'm stuck.

Protocol compatibilty?
Mood:  irritated
I have been searching the help & faq pages and 1.) could not find an answer & 2.)thought this to be the best place to post: What protocols (as in HTML, Java, PHP, Perl, etc.) are compatibile with anglefire's servers? I have tried to install a PHP add-on (Postnuke) and a .php page shows up as text although it should be showing up as a webpage (file in question) I am not newbie to web design (nor angelfire for that matter), however due to the fact that I am not familar with PHP I can say for certain if it a mistake on my part, FTP upload deffective, necessary codecs necessary, angelfire not being PHP compatible, or what...any help or suggestions would be extremely necessary so that I would not have to do something drastic such as learn PHP just to check for errors additionally it may be a error with uploading the files via ftp as the file sizes do not match from my HD to the subdirectories on the server...once again help is appreciated, thank you.
