Saving Images
Topic: Image Questions

I've had my account since 2000 and have long since changed computer hard drives over the course of the last 12 years. Is there any way I can save my images from my webshell to my computer? I've already attempted this by right-clicking on the image to view + save image. Once I open it up, it displays "Invalid Image" instead.

There are some images I'd like to keep with me. I know Angelfire wants to keep a lock & key on files because of copyright laws and such, but I didn't think at the age of 18 that I'd need to keep a hold of my files like that - back then, I stored files on floppy drives and if I was lucky, CDR's.

If you or anyone could help me with this, that would be great. Thank you.

Hi,

I know how it is to loose all your files.

I retreived our whole website using ftp. The easiest software I have used is: WS_FTP LE from, http://www.ipswitch.com/ My version is an older free one.

I just checked out website and was able to save a picture. Some web-browers work different than others. I have had better results using Mozilla Firefox than Internet Explorer for being able to save pictures from almost any website.

Good luck in retrieving your pictures.

I am not sure about how many images you wish you save to your pc. But if thera are only a few you could simply capture them as a screenshot. Press Print on your Keyboard and paste the picture into paint or any other image processing tool. Finally crop and save.
